We are two bisexual women in our late 20's looking for a third female roommate of any orientation for a room in our first-floor apartment in the JFK/UMass area. We live with three cats, so we are at capacity for four-leggers, but other types of pets (caged etc) are negotiable. We would prefer if you were a cat person. We take percautions against shedding and maintain air filtration, which have worked for roommates with mild to moderate allergies in the past. There is no smoking inside the apartment, and we would prefer a non-smoker but there is a porch and a nice yard space for smoking outside.

The apartment features a large walk-in shower, laundry in the unit, and a dishwasher. We are currently looking to fill the front room of the apartment, which is large and sunny, with several windows. This room is connected to a second which we plan to reappropriate for storage and occasional office space.

Rent for the front room is $600. Utilities are somewhere around $80 per person with 4 people in the apartment right now. Utilities will be somewhat higher as of 9/1 with 3 tenants present. This includes heat, electricity, gas, and DSL wireless Internet. We do not currently have cable TV (we are movie dorks and mostly prefer Netflix!) but are evaluating options for installing before 9/1 and are otherwise open to it.

Our street is reasonably quiet, with many families (and children!) on the block. We are a 10 to 15 minute walk from JFK/UMass Red Line T stop and the #8 bus (to Kenmore, South Bay shopping center and Longwood Medical areas). There is a Shaws adjacent to the T stop and a Stop and Shop at South Bay (which you can also access via the Andrew T stop one up from us).

hi everyone! so me and my roommate are in an awesome house. its a 2 story house with basement and almost finished attic. the house has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. the house on the inside has been remodeled and has an awesome fire place! tons of storage room and laundry in the basement. the room for rent has been a guest bedroom for about a year, its a good size ( fit a queen dressers ect). and has easy access to walk up attic which would be an extension to the room. we also have parking for 4 cars, huge parking area in back of house. the lease we originally signed will end in august but we plan on resigning for a year so if you could find someone who would be interested in long term that would be great! my roommate and I accually work in the same place, we work retail. so we have odd hours sometimes. we both clean and like to keep it clean. we have 2 cats that are awesome loving cats. we dont tend to be party animals, although we arent lame either. we are very open and laid back people. . our biggest thing is when you are home you shouldnt have to be someone you aren't! looking for a relaxed responsiable person who cares about where they live and will take care of it....
